Persuasive argument writing - cats are better than dogs

Hello! Welcome to my blog today I've done a writing persuasive argument about cats are better than dogs. Well I disagree and so if you wanna know why read my writing. Enjoy and be safe.

Cats are better than dogs ?

I strongly disagree that cats are better than dogs. I mean dogs are so active  and for me, cats chill and sleep all day.

These are many reasons why dogs are better than cats.

Not only people do work but also dogs can.

German shepherd dogs are police. They can patrol and use their senses. They can find burglars, suspects and escape artists.

 Dogs are very loving.

They can be good company, a great playmate and they are also overly protective of their owner. They can be so active that they cheer you up and make you laugh.

 Dogs are very clever.

You can train them and they listen to your commands. They can roll over, sit, jump, stand, and can be trained to do obstacles and a lot more. They know what's best once they’ve grown.

Overall I think dogs are better than cats at some point. They are all good equally and they are great pets to have.

Mary MacKillop

 St Mary MacKillop Information Report

By Jia and Sierra

Mary MacKillop was born in 1842 in Melbourne, Australia.

Her parents, Flora & Alexander were from Scotland. Mary was the eldest out of her siblings. She was well educated by her father. Her father had great difficulty with his health.

When Mary was eighteen she moved to Penola, in South Australia to start work to support her family. She became a governess (teacher) to her cousins in 1860. In Penola she met Father Julian Tenison Woods. Father Julian had the same dream as Mary. Julian Tenison Wood was a priest. Julian needed help from Mary with establishing Religious Education in schools.

Mary dreamed of educating children in Catholic schools. In 1867, she became the first sister. She wore a black dress, in March 1888. Mary and Julian’s dream became a reality. The first school was in a barn. She also would say to the sister’s “Never see a need without doing anything about it”.

They opened schools for the poor people which were free for everyone. They made orphanages for the people that don’t have parents. Mary wanted to help everyone and make people feel special. Then one day a bishop came to Mary. Bishop Shiel misunderstood Mary and excommunicated her from the church. He thought Mary was being disobedient. In the past Bishop Shiel expelled 47 sisters. Five months later Mary and the forty seven sisters were welcomed back again.

As she got older, Mary suffered from rheumatism. After a stroke, in 1902 she was paralysed on her right side and had to get around in a wheelchair. She continued to believe in God.

Mary passed away in a convent on Mount Street in Sydney, Australia. She died on the 8th of August 1909.

After her death, the Sisters continue to do good deeds and follow in the footsteps of Jesus. They went to New Zealand and opened schools.  In 1963 there were 36 Josephite schools opened. After Mary’s death they made Mary the leader of the sisters. The sisters also inspired the people through God!

My good letter to Santa

 Dear Santa,

I have been EXTREMELY good this year at home and school. I have been doing my homework at home, especially Maths work. At school I think I have been doing well in my studies.

I’ve been kind to my parents and when they give me a command I follow and that’s what makes them happy. Also so that their parenting is not so hard.

This year for Christmas what I want is something different. It's not an item but what I want is to have a great Christmas! Santa when you do your presents deliveries and leave presents for my family, I will leave sanitizer out for you. Or you can put the presents inside the mailbox!

Have a great Christmas!

Yours Sincerely,

Jia

What are the known foods in Mexico?

This is a traditional special cake called 'Rosca de Reyes' (Three Kings Cake) on Epiphany. A figure of Baby Jesus is hidden inside the cake. Whoever has the baby Jesus in their piece of cake is the 'Godparent' of Jesus for that year.

How do they do gift givings?

Gift giving is not usually a requirement in Mexican culture. If you do want to give a gift, be aware that asking about what the person would like to receive as presents can be offensive.

If you are invited to a home, there is no obligation to bring a gift.

My letter to santa

 Dear Santa,

I have been EXTREMELY BAD. I have been talking too much at school, talking back, being unkind, not focusing on my work distracting others, starting a scene, being a troublemaker and sneaking out.

Oh Santa please come to my house I know I didn’t mean it, give me a second chance! I promise to make things right by… being kind, focused on schoolwork, distracting others, not starting a scene, not being a troublemaker and doing my homework!

In 2021 I will try to have high grades and be a good senior when I become a year 5. Santa I just realized that I have been honest making this letter! Isn’t that a good sign santa?

Santa for christmas I want a pen! To write, to draw art like the professionals! I would also like billions of paper to display all over the world!!

Love by Jia.

Lost in the forest

Name of the movie: Lost in the Forest

Set: Forest and house.

Story By: Jia, Helina and Sierra

Once upon a time there were two girls called Jenni and Angela, a mother called Maria, a grandma called Grandma Sadie, and a dog called Rudolf. They were having a picnic on a wonderful sunny and windy day.

“Do we have to go out walking today?” said Angela. “ Yes, it’s good exercise for you, plus it’s sunny outside.” growled Mum. “It will be fun”, said Jenni. The family packed their things and went into the car and headed to the forest.

They walked to a little muddy path. “ Haaa what a lovely breeze” said Grandma Sadie. “Oh! Let’s place the mat here! “ said Jenni. The family placed the mat and food at the side of the path where there is grass. “ Goo goo gaga “ said baby Annie. They talked and laughed. After a while they decided to put their picnic basket away and when they realized… “ Oh no… I forgot the way back to the car,” said Mum. “ Oh no!! WE’RE LOST!” cried Jenni. Angela pointed at their footsteps. “ Look! Footsteps maybe it’s Rudolf’s footsteps!”. The whole family was surprised. “Do you think that’s a good idea? Maybe it will lead us to a different and dangerous place” said Grandma Sadie. “Yes, I think it will be safe, Let’s see where it leads to” Mum replied,''okay“ said Grandma Sadie. They followed their footsteps and…

“Look! The car!!” said Jenni. “Goo gaga!” said Annie happily. “Yay!! We're going back home!” said Angela. The family was glad they found their way back and went home happily!

THE END! :D

Retelling Cinderella

Once upon a time there was a very happy couple that had a Daughter named Ella who lived in a big manor. One day her mother got sick, Ella and her father worried she couldn’t recover and the mother passed away a few days later.

Her Dad remarried another woman. The woman was cruel and selfish. The woman had two daughters called Anastasia and Drizella. Anastasia and Drizella secretly picked their noses.

Ella's stepsisters made her their maid and mocked her and called her Cinderella. Cinderella was cleaning until an invitation came from the royal palace. So her sister’s called her to make them beautiful. After Cinderella finished making the stepsisters pretty Cinderella had the courage to ask her step mother to go to the ball. She said “Mother can I go to the ball too?”.

Her stepmother’s eye sparked and looked at her and said “only if you clean the kitchen and the bedroom”.

Cinderella cried “How am I going to clean all this mess?”. Later the pigeons and the birds came and helped clean up the mess. Then she said “Can I go to the ball now?” her Step mother looked at her clothes “you look filthy and dirty in that dress. The prince will not have dirt in his ball room”. Cinderella’s stepsister and stepmother left the house for the ball.

Cinderella ran outside the garden and cried. Later there was a sound coming from the bushes. Then a fairy appeared. “Why are you crying sweet little girl?” The fairy said. Cinderella said “Wh- who are you?” “I am your fairy Godmother. So what happened dear?” Said the Fairy Godmother “My stepmother did not allow me to go to the ball because I have no clothes to wear to the ball….” Replied Cinderella. The Fairy Godmother waved her wand and turned Cinderella to a beautiful princess, she turned the pumpkin to a golden carriage and turned the mice to a horses. Then turned the bird to a Couchman. Cinderella thanked the Godmother. After the magic the Fairy Godmother warned her “ Remember the last stroke of midnight all my spells will be gone.” Cinderella nodded and went to the ball.

Later Cinderella arrived at the ball, she went inside and the people were very shocked. The prince couldn't take his eyes off her. Then they danced and Cinderella was having fun. Then the last midnight strock was struck. Cinderella ran and said “I have to go!” The prince ran after her and said “ Cinderella don’t leave!” but Cinderella was too fast and  her glass slipper fell off on the steps outside. The prince ran inside and announced “Whoever fits this glass slipper will be my bride” the people tried it on but not one person fit it. Finally the prince arrived at Cinderella’s house. The prince entered the house and the stepsister and stepmother tried it on but it did not fit. Then the prince asked “ Is there anyone else inside your house?” “We have a maid in our kitchen.” the prince went to the kitchen. Cinderella tried the slipper and it fit! Then the prince and Cinderella married.
