Dam writing

A dam blocks the flow of water in rivers and it must pass over through the barrier.

Dams are built across the streams and rivers to retain the water. Dams asist generating
Hydroelectric power and they can support navigation. Flood control, power supplies and
dams are built to water crops.

The primary purpose of dams is to retain water. Prevent flooding, maintain power and
assist with irrigation.

Water care operates fourteen supply reservoirs. Five of the reservoirs are located in the
Waitakere ranges. Two reservoirs are located in helensville and one reservoir is located
in papakura.

The dams supply 80% of Auckland's water dams are located high. After world war 2
dams were made of earth and rocks.

The Waitakere ranges are 5 dams, 3 concrete and two earth. The waitakere dam supplies
20% of Auckland’s water.

Persuasive writing about George Bollinger

George improved so much and it was very brave and loyal of him to go back to war after
all the things that happened to him and his family during World War 1

People said mean things and racist comments to them and I know George was affected by
the people. The Bollinger’s home was always being thrown by rocks. Eventually, George
and his family moved to Wellington because of the terrible thing that was going on.

George was always faithful and courageous to fight for World War 1.
