Today I created  a poster about a man who won many times in surfing.

  1. Malo e lelei,

Kueni here from the Summer Learning Journey again. I hope you are having a groovy day!

I enjoyed reading your blog post today about Kelly Slater. I think it is so awesome that you chose someone you wanted to learn more about and possibly someone you are very interested in. I would never be able to surf, I would be too scared of the waves. What about you? Have you ever gone surfing before?

Along with finding information about your chosen changemaker the activity also asks you to explain how their work has made an impact on others. An example of this could be that he has encouraged other people to take up pro surfing or even things he may be involved in, such as charities. If you could, can you update your post or reply to this comment answering that part of the activity?

    Nofo a,
    Kueni.

  2. Ata Mārie Jia, how is your day going so far?

Thanks for this post - I really enjoyed reading about Kelly Slater as I didn’t know much about him, other than that he was a surfer. My dad surfs and absolutely loves it - he has tried to teach me a few times but I get scared of the big waves. My goal this summer is to try it again and face my fear of big waves! Do you surf?

I’ve noticed that you haven’t been active in a while, and we really enjoyed reading your posts when you were active. I thought I would just jump on your blog and give you a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!

I would also encourage you to go and have a look at all the comments we have made on your posts to see if anything needs to be edited in order for you to get the full points available.

Happy blogging, I look forward to reading more of your posts :)
    Eliza.
